A Sustainable Investment for Future Generations

“With fact upon fact, this report reveals that people and the planet are getting clobbered by climate change.”
António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently released the second part of the Sixth Assessment Report, Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability, with statistics from more than 34,000 studies. The main message of the report was that climate change is happening much faster than expected. Climate change is predicted to cause more damage and more people may be affected than previously estimated, which means that the situation will be more unsustainable in the near future than it already is today.

Climate adaptation is being proffered as a solution to the problem. Climate adaptation involves equipping societies, people and ecosystems to deal with the new challenges presented by global warming. There is a clear link between global warming and the need to adapt our societies to a changing climate, which is also being addressed by the EU Taxonomy.

Changing the level of emissions requires global mobilisation. Operators and researchers in the field have long tried to persuade people to choose things that are good for them, good for the planet and cost-saving for society. It is not an easy challenge, since humans are fundamentally content and averse to change. We need to make it easier for people to make better choices.

THE SECOND-HAND MARKET AS THE FIRST CHOICE

Research has also shown that a circular economy can halve emissions. The more investments, initiatives and proposals that show the benefits of investing circularly, the faster we can curb the advance of global warming.

What is clear is that even the smallest efforts can make a difference. Therefore, we see it as our duty to encourage more people towards environmentally friendly and sustainable choices. Autocirc’s business concept is simple. By bringing together automotive industry companies that are already working on a sustainable business model, we can offer a better alternative to consumers who want to make conscious choices and reduce their ecological footprint.

We offer a more environmentally friendly alternative, which reduces the need for new production in the aftermarket. In this way, we can guide our customers towards better and more sustainable choices. And it’s an offer that will always be relevant.
