In early November, Autocirc passed a major milestone – one million dismantled and quality-assured original auto parts in less than a year – up from 700,000 parts for the full 2024. This scale makes circularity truly practical and reflects a clear market trend: demand for affordable, original and high-quality reused parts is accelerating.
Every year, thousands of crash-damaged vehicles still contain fully functional OEM parts that are often almost new, for example doors and headlights. By recovering and verifying the components, we provide the market with reliable, cost-efficient alternatives that reduce both environmental impact and repair costs. This means:
- For insurers: lower repair costs and faster, more predictable repair flows.
- For workshops: high-quality parts at competitive prices, with full traceability.
- For private customers: safer, faster and cheaper repairs without compromising quality.
Study Confirms Rising Demand for Reused Parts
This rising demand of reused auto parts is also confirmed in the recently published FAAS Study on Remanufacturing, which is based on responses from over 1,100 industry professionals across Europe. The study shows that remanufactured components are already widely used, but limited availability and complex core management are slowing down the transition. To encourage more workshops to choose remanufactured parts, the market requires a broader product range, smoother return flows, and clearer information on actual CO₂ savings. Currently, price remains the strongest driver for workshops, while the sustainability benefits are rarely communicated, despite being valued by both workshops and customers. This indicates a clear opportunity to accelerate the shift towards more circular component flows.
With 70 companies spanning seven European countries, Autocirc is building an ecosystem designed to help insurers, workshops, and car owners reduce costs, cut emissions, and access high-quality, warrantied parts. From this position, Autocirc is well placed to continue shaping a more resource-efficient automotive aftermarket.
Oskar Gibas Hjertquist, Chief Commercial Officer at Autocirc Group, comments:
"Reaching one million dismantled auto parts in just 10 months shows the significant impact of our work. Thanks to dedicated colleagues across the Group, more original parts are getting a second life – reducing emissions and making repairs more affordable. This is a great, practical example of how circularity adds value to all stakeholders, and it is how we turn our promise of giving new life to cars into reality.”
