With a background in motocross and rallycross, Hedda Hosås (24) – Autocirc’s ambassador for 2025 – has quickly become one of Norway’s most promising profiles in international off-road racing. After an impressive second place in last weekend’s Extreme E race, she now faces a new milestone.
Today marks the start of the first-ever FIA Extreme H World Cup in Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia, 2025 – the world’s first motorsport series powered by hydrogen. Hedda will make history as the first Norwegian woman to compete, together with Ole Christian Veiby, in an all-Norwegian team. Together, they will represent Norway in what is being called the future of motorsport.
“Racing on hydrogen is something completely new – both in terms of performance and sustainability. I’ve been part of the testing from the very beginning, so I’m really looking forward to finally competing. It feels extra special to be the first Norwegian woman to race in this event. My goal is, of course, to fight for top positions – but also to learn as much as I can along the way. And driving alongside Ole Christian will be great – he has so much experience that I can learn from”, says Hedda Hosås.
FIA Extreme H World Cup takes place on October 9–11, 2025.
From Extreme E to Extreme H
Over the past seasons, Hedda has competed in Extreme E and has been one of the key test drivers in the development of Pioneer 25 – the first hydrogen-powered race car under FIA regulations.
Extreme H builds on the same concept as Extreme E, known for combining environmental focus, innovation and gender balance. The series includes disciplines such as Time Trial, Head-to-Head Duels and Multi-Car Racing, and ends with a final where all eight cars start simultaneously and collect points throughout the weekend.
The Pioneer 25, developed specifically for the series, delivers 400 kW (around 550 horsepower) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds.
Driving change, together with Autocirc
Together with Autocirc, Hedda works to raise awareness of the benefits of a circular and sustainable automotive parts industry. Her ambition is clear – to use her passion for motorsport to inspire change, promote reuse, and highlight sustainable solutions in the automotive world.
