Autocirc’s 2026 ambassador and Norwegian offroad driver Hedda Hosås delivered a solid opening to the season at the Saudi Baja, the first round of the FIA World Baja Cup – one of the world’s most demanding offroad racing series. Attention now turns to the next event in the championship: the Jordan Baja.
The Saudi Baja marked Hedda Hosås’ first competition with a new car, and the weekend offered both valuable learning and clear progress. Overall, she and her co-driver finished sixth out of 15 drivers in the SSV class. She is currently fifth overall in the World Championship and continues the season with strong momentum.
“I’m very pleased with the start to the season. We learned a lot about the car, showed good pace and delivered consistent driving throughout the event. Most importantly, I took a significant step forward in confidence and in my feel for the car,” says Hedda Hosås.
The Saudi Baja is known for demanding desert conditions and technically challenging stages and serves as an important early benchmark for the season. With only one week between the two events, the experience gained in Saudi Arabia provides a strong foundation ahead of the next challenge.
The next stop on the calendar is the Jordan Baja, taking place on 12–14 February, and forming the second round of the FIA World Baja Cup. The event is known for technically demanding navigation and long stages through the Wadi Rum area.
In recent years, Hedda Hosås has established herself internationally in Extreme H offroad racing, where she achieved a historic third place in the World Championship. Supported by a strong group of partners, she continues to compete at a high level throughout the 2026 season.
